KUALA LUMPUR: Asian Banking School (ABS) had a record number of four of its in-house trainers receive their Certified Training Professional (CTP) certification at a graduation ceremony organised by the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) held yesterday at Sasana Kijang.

Awarded by the FAA, the certification is achieved after having undergone a comprehensive programme that equips its participants with the knowledge and skillsets of designing, developing and delivering quality structured learning programmes in line with industry best practices. Recognising the importance of providing only highly qualified training professionals for the banking industry, ABS continues to invest not only in developing new content for its programmes and innovative delivery systems but also its people.

“All of our in-house trainers are either fully certified training professionals or are on their way to being one. It is something that we take very seriously and are very proud of at ABS. In fact, starting from next year, we are requiring all new trainers who join us to acquire this certification within their first year at ABS if they are not already certified,” said Professor Colyn Gardner, Chief Executive Officer of ABS.

Apart from conducting various open enrolment and customised training programmes, the in-house trainers at ABS also currently take on at least 60% of the training for professional qualifications and 100% for the industry-wide ethics programme.
